Preparation
Turn off the time clock and unplug the power cord. Wait for the device to cool.
2-Prepare a new ribbon that matches the model of the time clock (refer to the old ribbon or the user manual). Prepare a soft cloth or cotton swab.
3-Operational Procedure
Open the device cover: Gently press the latch or knob to open, avoiding excessive force that could damage components.
Removing the old ribbon: Loosen the retaining mechanism (such as a latch or screw), slowly pull out the ribbon cassette, and clean any remaining debris.
4-Installing the new ribbon:
Insert the ribbon cassette in the direction indicated by the arrow, ensuring the gears align with the grooves.
Turn the tension knob 2-3 turns to straighten the ribbon and eliminate wrinkles.
5-Test Print: Secure the cover, turn on the power, and print a test page to check the clarity of the print.
6-Common Problems and Maintenance.
Light print: Check if the ribbon is installed in the wrong direction or has insufficient tension. Readjust the knob.
Ribbon jam: Remove any debris after powering off and realign the gears.
Clean the print head and rollers regularly with a soft cloth, at least once a month.
